FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
🥳 WILL THERE BE ANY OPPORTUNITIES FOR GUESTS TO SEE THE BRIDE AND GROOM OUTSIDE OF THE WEDDING?
Yes! We are hosting a Welcome Party the evening before the wedding on March 5, 2026 (Thursday). We would love to see everyone traveling in from out-of-town in a more casual setting and catch up with y’all.
👶🏻 ARE CHILDREN ALLOWED AT THE WEDDING?
While we love your children, our wedding will be an adults-only event. We hope parents can take the night off and join us at our celebration!
We also know some couples who are bringing their children to Houston, but also traveling with a family member or babysitter to watch the kids at the hotel during the wedding. Those who are doing this are encouraged to bring your children along to the Welcome Party and explore Houston on Saturday after the wedding.
🥂 ARE THE CEREMONY AND RECEPTION AT THE SAME VENUE?
Yes! Everything will take place on the same property.
No need to worry about driving to a different location after the ceremony.
🌤️ WHAT IS THE WEATHER TYPICALLY LIKE IN HOUSTON DURING MARCH?
March usually brings beautiful weather to Southeast Texas. The temperature can range anywhere between the 50s to 80s. However, Houston is known for having unpredictable weather. We recommend packing clothes for both hot and cold temperatures. Definitely prepare for possible rain, since it can happen anytime throughout the year.
✈️ THERE ARE TWO AIRPORTS IN HOUSTON. WHICH ONE SHOULD WE FLY INTO?
Bush (IAH) is on the north side of Houston. It’s the busier airport and can be a headache to navigate. However, it is closer to our venue. If you are coming just for our wedding and don’t have time to do much sightseeing, Bush will be your best bet.
Hobby (HOU) is our preferred airport and located on the southeast side of Houston. It’s easier and faster to get in and out at this airport. If you will be doing a lot of sightseeing and want to stay more central in the city, we would recommend Hobby. One thing to note though is Hobby is mainly a Southwest hub, but it also serves Allegiant, American, Delta, and Frontier Airlines.
🚗 WOULD YOU RECOMMEND RENTING A CAR IN HOUSTON?
YES. We definitely recommend renting a car and making sure the vehicle is insured. The public transit system here sucks. Houston is a MASSIVE city and depending on the day, it can take up to 1.5 hours to drive from one end of the city to the other. When it comes to land size, Houston is bigger than the states of Connecticut, Delaware, New Hampshire, New Jersey, and Rhode Island.
The good news is gas is pretty cheap, due to the oil and gas industries here.
🏡 WHICH AREA SHOULD WE BOOK OUR LODGING? DO YOU HAVE A HOTEL BLOCK?
That really depends on what you will be doing while you’re in town. If you won’t be doing much sightseeing and are just coming for the wedding, we recommend staying near Tomball where our venue is. The Woodlands and Spring are also nice areas to stay on the north side.
If you want to spend a lot of time exploring Little Saigon & Chinatown, consider staying in Bellaire, Westchase, or Galleria/Uptown.
Other good areas that allow you to stay pretty central in the city include Montrose, the Museum District, Upper Kirby, or the Heights.
Unfortunately, we do not have a hotel block since an early gauge from potential guests did not garner enough interest for us to feel that it would be reasonable to get one.
Feel free to ask us about the area where you’re thinking about booking your lodging. Some areas are more prone to crime and we can let you know if you should stay elsewhere.
👗 WHAT KIND OF ATTIRE SHOULD THE GUESTS WEAR?
Our wedding has a timeless/classy vibe to it. So we ask that our guests wear formal clothes, i.e. suits and dresses. No jeans or t-shirts.
For men, please avoid wearing blue suits.
🚗 WHAT IS THE PARKING SITUATION AT THE VENUE?
There are two parking lots at the venue, one in the front and one in the back. There should be plenty of space for everyone’s cars.
🍴 WHAT KIND OF FOOD WILL BE SERVED AT THE WEDDING?
We will be serving a multi-course, family-style Vietnamese dinner. If you have any allergies or dietary restrictions, please let us know once the RSVP form opens.
🎁 ARE YOU ACCEPTING GIFTS FOR THE WEDDING?
Yes! For those who would like to contribute to our next chapter as a married couple, a monetary blessing would be deeply appreciated.
